
As many will know, the legend goes that St Pirin floated to Cornwall’s shores in need of sanctuary, and was welcomed with open arms.
We have a history and a heart for sanctuary: for welcoming strangers and friends, people on holiday and people in need of a safe place.
The Cornwall Refugee Resource Network was set up in 2015 in response to the emerging refugee crisis as the war in Syria forced so many people to feel violence and conflict. It has continued to work since then, and is now supporting Ukraine.
